Soundtrack - From Hell (2001): Trevor Jones' Masterpiece of Gothic Horror Music

Horror lovers got their first look at Rob Zombie's upcoming feature 3 From Hell earlier this week, and now three instrumental numbers from the film's eerie score are available to sample. The movie itself still doesn't have a release date, but the soundtrack will emerge on limited edition vinyl via Waxwork Records later this summer, alongside reissues of the House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects soundtracks.

John Eyres, who gave us the wild Project Shadowchaser series, turned in this post-Scream slasher from Canada that pits a bunch of serial killer obsessed students against a modern day Jack the Ripper. It sounds fun enough but it far from earns its two hour (!) runtime and the kills are few and far between. Totally dug that generic grunge/goth soundtrack that was basically knockoffs of Soundgarden and Orgy, which don't even pair well.
